Math Disability and Dyscalculia: One and the Same, or Not?
Brian Butterworth is Emeritus Professor of Cognitive Neuropsychology at University College London, Adjunct Professor at National Cheng Chi University, Taiwan, Professorial Fellow at Melbourne University, Australia, and Research Consultant at Ospedale San Camillo Istituto di Ricovero e Cura a Carattere Scientifico in Venice, Italy.
He taught at Cambridge University for eight years and has held visiting appointments at MIT and the Max Planck Institute at Nijmegen. He is currently working on the neuroscience and the genetics of mathematical abilities and disabilities. He was elected Fellow of the British Academy in 2002.
